Qualifications:

Essential

             A PhD in transportation, logistics, management sciences, operations research, business analytics, engineering, or a related discipline.

             In-depth knowledge and proven skills of academic and applied research in transportation, logistics, or related topics.

             Demonstrated ability to teach at master’s level in statistics, operations research, data analytics, or transportation/logistics.

             For consideration at the  Research-track Assistant/Associate Professor, candidates must have published in international journals and participated in the acquisition of external funding.

 

Desirable

             Familiarity with analytical methods (e.g., develop algorithms & heuristics and use software for optimization/simulation)

             Familiarity with empirical methods (e.g., statistics/econometrics/machine learning)

             Teaching experience

             Experience with industry problems

 

Main Duty and Responsibilities:

             Conducting guided and independent research on transportation and logistics in the TDH lab (incl. collaboration with researchers in MIT Global SCALE Network)

             Publish in leading international journals

             Writing research proposals

             Meeting with project sponsors

             Support outreach activities

             Teaching short courses

             Any other (incl. administrative) duties that may reasonably be assigned by the supervising faculty member.
